Mansfield and its surrounding areas are renowned for prime agricultural production. Most of the gravel roads in the area are critical road infrastructure for farmers to move livestock and equipment between paddocks and farms. Please keep in the mind the following messages to ensure the safety of cyclists, farmers and livestock.

  • Gravel roads are a shared space
  • Please respect farms and livestock at all times
  • Stay on the road / roadside and do not enter farms
  • Be alert for machinery and give them lots of space
  • If you encounter livestock on the road, stop on the road side and quietly wait until they move past you
  • Leave no trace
