Some highlights of the event include free kids' activities and giveaways, dress-ups, kids fire truck, badge making, firetruck crafts, lucky dip, free goodie bags and more. You will get to see live burn table displays, interactive hazards kitchen activity, and the fire safety van with giveaways. Barbecue burgers will be served up by the Mansfield Scouts, and there will also be a coffee and donut van, and snack and drink sales. Holly Goltz and Reiley Gibney-Schelfhout will be performing live music throughout the event. Mansfield Radio will be broadcasting live from the Open Day.
Over 20 Fire Tankers will be on display throughout the day, spanning the century with old and new fire trucks. The display is dependent on the weather.
The official opening ceremony from 10:00 to 10:30 AM will feature the raising of the new brigade flag, unveiling of the Captains' Avenue of Honour, dedication of the Centenary Honour Board, and a one-minute Fire Tankers sound off to open the day.
