Rail Trail Open! The Mansfield to Maindample section of the trail was officially opened on Wednesday 4th August. The Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail will be a shared pathway for cyclists,walkers and horses. The trail follows the disused rail line for 134km from Tallarook through Yea to Mansfield, with a link between Cathkin and Alexandra. Traversing the Mansfield, Murrundindi and Mitchell Shires, the trail will be progressively opened in sections with a completion date December 2011. 

                     Rivers, Mountains and Echoes of Gold   Winding roads, historic settlements, riverside walks and plenty of atmosphere: the valleys that run between Jamieson and the early mining settlements are fascinating places to explore.
