For true connection to nature, make the trip to Mt Stirling in summer where you’ll be welcomed by the swirl of the snow gums, the flash of a black cockatoo and the whir of mountain insects.

Amazing views and mountain trails make Mt Stirling a natural adventure playground. A number of walking/biking tracks connect Buller and Stirling, or you can drive or four-wheel drive to Mt Stirling and start your adventure from Telephone Box Junction.

Guided walks are available, as well as fully catered 4WD tours or horseback trail rides in the Stirling area. Of course, if you visit Mt Stirling – make sure to see the iconic Craig’s Hut from the Man From Snowy River movies.
